Day 3 (2\5\12):

We decided this morning when we entered the hangar that progress was too slow and that we weren’t too happy with the initial state of the plane. Hence we decided to “scrap” the previous day’s work so to speak, and scrub the plane first using soap, water and brooms. We also contacted a friend of ours who is a photographer, to come and take photos of the event. Little did we know what her plans were for the shoot! She decided on doing a time lapse shoot of our group washing the airplane and compile all the photos into a video, see embedded youtube ® video. The work started by emptying a lot of water on the plane, then throwing on liters of soap and scrubbing! And then it all had to be rinsed off of course, when we thought we were done however, we realized that there is still the underneath of the plane to scrub, hence we got to it. Another problem that had to be dealt with was the fact that we would not finish polishing the airplane in the two remaining days of the project that are to come. So we decided that we will use some of the JCP budget allocated to this specific project and purchase two polishing machines, these should make the job a little bit faster and hopefully we can achieve our goal before the air show. During the week to come, one member of the group undertook the challenge to go out and buy these tools, and we’ll put them to use next weekend
